Hope you’ve all enjoyed your Christmas! Here are some of my takeaways from this strange pandemic Christmas:
• my dad always wants me to check on my mom, and it’s really fucking weird.
•my uncle thought he had corona and cancelled all Christmas plans. However, it turns out he doesn’t have it. My grandma is likely to hold it against him for a long time. On that note, the virus is also absolutely skyrocketing in my city, Los Angeles, and all holiday activities are put off the table.
•I got some really good Cindy Sherman books for Christmas. I love the ways she represents 20th-century American womanhood. (Also, fun fact: I know her ex-step-daughter.)
